Joana Farrajota is a Professor of Private Law at NOVA School of Law, and Founder and Director of the NOVA Centre on Financial Markets at NOVA School of Law in Lisbon. She is also Coordinator of the Master in Law and Financial Markets.
As an academic, she has taught a wide range of subjects and published on various private law topics, with a particular focus on contract law. She currently teaches Law of Obligations (undergraduate), Banking Law and Introduction to Mediation. Her main areas of legal practice are civil and commercial law. She is Of Counsel at a law office in Lisbon.
