Michelle van Weeren is an Assistant Professor of accounting and sustainable finance at NEOMA Business School.
She holds a PhD in Accounting from Dauphine University, Paris, for which her thesis was awarded the 2021 RIODD-Moody’s first prize for the best French interdisciplinary thesis on organisations and sustainability.
Her research on sustainable finance and environmental, social and governance (ESG) analysis focuses on how finance and extra-financial indicators can serve society.
Michelle is a member of the mission committee of Paris-based ESG data fintech WeeFIN and of the Plateforme RSE, an advisory board on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and extra-financial data reporting to the French government. She has published in the peer-reviewed academic journal Accounting, Organizations and Society.
